Would you like to live in a tourist trap?

WenZhen is a canal town that is the Chinese version of a recreation European medieval town that shows how Chinese people lived 200+ year ago.  Except, this isn't a recreation town...people still live here. While peering into the past to see how people weaved and performed with shadow puppets we also saw normal people making breakfast and sleeping.  The streets paralleled a canal and made a very vivid scene full of cooking smells and cramped quarters of the residents.

There was a bed museum which many Chinese tourists found fascinating (there were a lot of beds, that's about all that I can say).  I didn't really understand the cultural relevance of ornate beds.  There was a beautiful garden, the former home of one of the foremost communist writers of the recent Chinese past, and a man doing acrobatics on top of a 100 foot long bent pole over some water.  An interesting tourist trap to be sure.
